The cats are OEM Holden/HSV cats from my 2013 HSV R8 - obviously modified to fit. When the car was 2000km old, I put a full Walkinshaw system on my car incl high flow cats so I had these left over. They're basically brand new.
The fabricator (Andy) is ex-HSV and he called HSV a couple of weeks ago to speak with a former colleague who told him they tested a number of cats when they were developing the GTS and the
only cats that would pass the IM240 test were these ones. So basically, all Holden/HSV VE/VF V8's, both NA and supercharged are running these cats. They're 400 cell items so I wonder how much extra power would be liberated if 200 cell cats ever found their way onto the car?!
