The right way ......is a spacer ....specifically made .....Bellhousing adapter to put a'84-'92 S10 T5 onto a 1955 & up Chev bellhousing

If you just cut the tip of the input.......it will not sit in the pilot bearing ,and the clutch plate will not properly engaged in the splines....that's why it sticks......
