After reading all of this I checked with my insurer, American Bankers Insurance Company who are USAA affiliates. My 2004 Backdraft has a Florida Title & Registration that says 1964 Cobra. Maxine Chatman, Maxine.C@americancollectors.com, explained to me that the date on the title and registration drives rates but usage by the individual matters even more. The Backdraft info is in my file and isn't material. I have a stated value policy of $45,500 and pay less than $500/yr.

Maxine is a real person and you get to real people instead of voicemail systems. They are actually enthusiasts and eager to speak with collectors. Her phone is 800-630-6302, extension 221.

I am sorry for the heartburn others have had but it helped me feel right about my situation.

CYA, Mike
