A two or three day trip to the North Rim would be great in High Summer except for the driving across the desert part. If we run to Flagstaff in the evening and spend the night then leave early the next morning for Jacob's Lake that would be a good trip. We would have to do the reverse, returning to the valley. My car does not like the freeway in the low country when it's over 105 degrees.
