Thanks Folks. The car is in British Columbia and has been in Canada for some years now and moved around a bit. I got suspicious when I read here that it had originally had a Chevy engine and now it turns up with a 302 and all dressed like a continuation car. No way to tell what it really is and the guy wants too much money for it so I am dropping it.
Apparently CSX1999 had gone to a guy in Bend Oregon several years ago and he was doing a top notch job on it. He dropped out of sight and he is not listed in the phone book at this time so perhaps he is also gone.
The detective work is almost as much fun as the rest of the hunt.
I just got started on the Cobra thing when my pals told me I needed a Corvette and they know I am a Ford guy through and through.
