HA! I have an entire pile of "well, that didn't work out" parts and pieces! Some were expensive lessons too.

I also agree with RedMT...spent many days or nights walking in circles in the yard and talking to myself saying "I don't believe this sh$t...seriously?"

It's in no way an exact science working on these cars. Just takes patience and persistence.
