In my opinion the ultimate would be turndowns that dumped up under the rear of the car and still have functional side pipes when you wanted. I'm sure this can be done and it would be super expensive but it would be nice. There is a local car that has side pipes that do not work and has undercar exhaust....it is very quite but that is due to the muffler he uses. If my car already had side pipes I don't think I would go to the expense of taking them off and having the body holes filled ect. Good luck and let us know what you do.
