Just my $.02 worth...but the hood scoop bears a striking resemblance to Shell Valley's scoop...tall and squared off (but the chassis looks like a scratch-built, not one of Shell Valley's).

My replica has a parallel 4-bar rear suspension WITH a panhard rod, all attached to a Ford 9" Traction-Loc differential....it is absolutely the best handling Cobra replica I have ever driven. It may not be as "original" as the IRS, but it sure does work, and works well! My car hooks up VERY well right off the line and that is with 20 year old BFG T/A's...can't wait to get some decent tires on the rear axles.

Just a comment on my experiences with the setup you have.
