Could be sheet steel, but seeing it is not bolted to anything, it's structural worth is not much.
I take it the OP traded a car and is happy with his new shiny toy, if so, good for him. I still say I see 10K in needed upgrades to make the car safe to drive.

To me it looks more like some kind of filter material than plywood. Or is it some kind of cooler?
