Could be sheet steel, but seeing it is not bolted to anything, it's structural worth is not much.

I take it the OP traded a car and is happy with his new shiny toy, if so, good for him. I still say I see 10K in needed upgrades to make the car safe to drive.
"mrmustang" - I'm still looking for this mystery wood you keep speaking of. Please look at these pictures, are you talking about the stupidly placed transmission oil cooler? I'm just not seeing it. Please elaborate with these pictures as a reference.

and "no shiny new toy".

"YerDugliness" thanks for your input - I have seen parallel 4 links on many types of cars, great for "off the line" when you get the instant center right.

"Jayhawk261" - I appreciate your pictures and input. Though similar in some respects there are the different differences that I would agree are not RUCC

And let me save some of the CC members some typing - "look at all that oil under there"; "looks like a leak"; "that oil filter will be a fireball"; there's all kinds of dirt on that frame, whether its made of steel or paper mache, it looks dirty"; Carol would gouge his eyes out than look at that replica"...
