Default ERA 289 FIA Steering Wheel Question

Hi All,

My FIA-USRRC replica has a 15" Moto-Lita currently in place. 677 also had the same wheel, which I switched to a 16" spilt Moto-Lita from Nick Acton.

I would like to put a similar split 16" wheel on my FIA car, but it seems like it would be tight. My memory may be fogged since I sold 677 about 3 years ago, but it seems as if my left hand may not clear the 9:00 position between the door and the wheel. I am not a big guy...5'8" 155 pounds...and I already have to squeeze into the seat a bit due to the FIA seats.

Does the 16" wheel fit well? Anyone who can chime in would be a great help before I invest in one.

Thanks.
