Cars like Clubmans (Lotus 7 replicas) could not possibly meet these guidelines for the torsional tests, so they seem to have a different formula for testing based on power to weight.Curious as to where your vehicle fits in, as it will determine how you build your chassis. Thanks for sharing your build (@Y@)
Hi, You are absolutely right, this will be registered under an ICV, and yes I do have to comply with the Torsion tests, beaming and intrusion tests just to name a few, thats why it is all been made out of 2 x 1" RHS rather than out of 1" as what most Clubmans are constructed from. To get it thru the ADR's I do have to use already compliant components like the Steering rack, column, suspension components, differential and brake system. I am building this very closely with the engineer so to minimise any confusion.
Thanks for your interest, it all wont be long now.
