AJ, yes, cam bearing surface to pushrod bearing surface. It's tricky to measure - I think the best way to do it would be to measure the length of a lifter and pushrod together, then subtract the length of the pushrod.
I have some old TRW VL-48 lifters which work with the stock length pushrod, but I think they may be responsible for my low-ish oil pressure. I was planning on buying an aftermarket set to see if it improves, but Compcams etc. all seem to be taller at 1.95" 'seat height', whatever that means.
The Branda ones could be a possibility but I have to have this motor back together by the end of next week and shipping to the UK won't be quick enough. I guess another tear-down of the intake next month might become necessary.
