Default Fuel Fumes ?

Question for the group regarding fuel fumes. I have roush 427 carbureted motor and I had this issue before and it hasn't happened again until now. I keep my cobra in my garage and awhile back I noticed after parking I smelled a lot of fuel fumes within my garage and into the house. I pull in and immediately **** car off not to let it run for any period of time. I originally thought maybe some leftover fuel in carb caused this,

Issue didn't seem to resurface until yesterday. Yesterday i did fill up my tank probably close to full. When I got home pulled in shut car off and that's it. Now even today a day later a still have very strong fumes smell in garage and within house. The only thing I did do was fill up tank. Could this be issue maybe I filled it up to much and doesn't vent properly?

Thiughts or comment greatly appreciated as my wife will be a happy if we can find a resolution.

Thanks

Doug
