I don't know about the soft top but you might contact Emerson Motorsports as I know he has put air conditioning in a big block car and he has had a Superperformance and Shell Valley Cobra down there in the past but I don't know what he was doing to them. I think Bill told me they had to have the brackets and compressor custom made but I may be wrong. Anyway if someone else hasn't already done this that could be a place for you to start.
