The bows are cut at an angle to match the way they set against the top bows then brackets are attached so that they cannot be seen looking at the top from the outside. The rear brackets are 1/8"x3/4" strap steel I formed them to wrap around the bows. The front brackets are heavy sheet tin bent as you see in picture.
There is plenty of head room for me.
