My psi conversion loom for manual trans includes brake sensor but not clutch (or maybe I just ran the clutch to earth). The brake switch for Ecu is normally open. I just checked the psi manual and it says it's used by the drive by wire system. It says failure to wire correctly could result in the accelerator not working.

Regarding the speedo, do you maybe need a pull up resistor on the circuit?
