The misfire was due to broken valve springs as noted previously in this thread. Those have been repaired. It was not the rev limiter - when this thread was started I didn't even have a limiter activated. There is no longer a misfire.

I am working on getting the carb tuned for my engine. The motor runs strong and pulls hard. Just trying to tune the transfer slots - they were initially very rich, then lean, now almost there.
