I think we can agree that if someone wants to build a Cobra with an air cooled VW bug engine, we can say go for whatever makes you happy.

On the other hand if that same person tells everyone who will listen and gets an article published that Cobra racers started to pull their 289 engines and replace them with VW bug engines so that their cars could keep up with Herbie the Love Bug on the track, well, don't we call that a bunch of nonsense?
