Default That time of year

Hey Gang, Just a reminder to check a few things on your Hot Rods. About this time of year I check for contamination or just replace brake fluid, hyd. fluid in clutch M/C and reservoir, engine coolant for acid or PH value and freeze point. Also check battery water level if possible and clean cable ends.

Brake/clutch fluids are flushed with new fluid if discolored or any signs of rubber dust in bottom of reservoir is visible.

Engine coolant gets a simple PH test strip check. I also test for any voltage present showing electrolysis is going on. I use green coolant and additive for anti rust and a WP lube that reduces problems. Not so worried about freeze point here in Phx. so 20* is plenty. I do find electrolysis in fair amount of cars I check for the first time. Ground problems most often the cause. PS... run test wire back to battery during testing.
