I can sympathize Scotty. Thinking about changing mine too. I have a Holley red back at the tank and a mechanical pump (fed by the electric pump, so in series, with a return line). The electric pump sounds like a blender. If my fuel level is below 1/4 tank I see some pressure drop if I really get into the throttle. So either the pumps aren't keeping up or I have some clogging in the filter. In any event I can't see the electric pump lasting too long based on how it sounds.
