As most of our Cobras are built by the owner on this forum you can never be to safety conscious when it comes to your personal safety.
Remember that you as the driver are the first person on the scene in situations like this and hopefully you are in a position to react in these types of events. As 1795 stated make sure you and others have access to safety equipment devices and triggers.
I recently was tasked with completing a clients car that was started at another shop. When I received the car I noticed that the previous builder had placed the triggering devices for the cars safety equipment completely out of reach of the driver and in a vulnerable position for damage depending on the accident.
