Nope, I took our toaster oven out to the patio, and pre-heated the float to 200 degrees to evaporate off all the fumes,
(My wife learned many years ago that the question "where are you going with that?" never produces an answer she's going to like, so she doesn't even ask anymore...
)
and then I re-soldered the seem with my trusty 30 year old Radio Shack soldering gun...
no torches, no drama, no gorilla glue... I'm boring.
