I'm with you. My wife doesn't hate my Cobra, however she hasn't taken any interest in it and didn't even congratulate me and/or compliment the car when I finished building it. That did (and still does) hurt a lot. She hasn't ridden in it and I am not sure she ever will. She believes that it was a big waste of money and that I "..didn't need to build it". If not at 46, when?
As I own a bodyshop and use the Cobra to promote my business (and I have gotten jobs because people have seen the quality of my work), this is still not good enough for her. I believe she will not be happy until I can report to her that I have brought in as much work from the Cobra as what it cost to build.
I love my wife and she has given me 3 beautiful children, but when it comes to cars, she and I are
oil and water. My 9 year old son loves the Cobra and rides in it with me every chance he gets, so that helps balance things out somewhat.
On the bright side, I do not have to ever worry about her crashing it. She can't drive a stick either!
