I looked into ABS a fair bit as a possibility during my build. I didn't want to go the donor route for the exact reasons stated above, for a car with completely different dynamics I wouldn't be comfortable with putting my life in the hands of that.

There is, as far as my research led me, one after-market ABS system available, it is made by Bosch, and the computer program is custom developed and loaded for you by Bosch in Germany, with your specific vehicle input specs, weight, tyres, etc etc etc. Cost for this system in about 2012 was 5,500 Euro.

The ESC bit will be difficult....I believe a NSW manufacturer went down the road of looking into ESC, and I think from memory Bosch quoted them 200K to develop a system for their car.

I better get through engineering before this madness descends south of the border....
