ive just done the same thing on a rack we fitted into a hq chassis and made it left hand drive as well ..to get the rack mounted and get bump steer and Ackerman's angle somewhat right the output shaft on the rack was pointing upwoulds I used a small 90 deg gearbox with a 1to 1 ratio off a conveyor belt system I mounted one end to the rack and the other to the shaft going up to the steering wheel problem solved ..cheers dean
