peterpjb,

Unless you are racing, where you are running the engine at 10/10 with no stop lights or traffic 4psi is a little to much. Also remember that ambient temperature can change your fuel pressure readings also.
If your fuel pressure overpowers the needle and seat you are possibly running something similar to a consatant fuel injection system where the carb is always in a flooded condition, major or minor.
