First progress made towards the new setup. After attempting to install the throttle linkage tower, I realized the holes were not quite right to line up with the holes in the back of the cylinder head. Tried to make it work by working the bolts in slowly which of course caused some cross threading. Finally after some fine application of my drill to the bracket to slightly enlarge the holes, and some tap application to the threads in my head. The bracket is in.
Very happy I ordered some new valve covers as the linkage won't clear the ones I had. Many thanks to Nick Acton for a beautiful set of comp valve covers that will look amazing with my new Webers. A few pics of the new valve cover and the throttle linkage tower. Hopefully the links work.
