Just finished reading this thread... lots of interesting comments. Love it!

I've owned SPF-1004 since 2001... BB 460 with Tremec 3550 (3.27 1st and 0.68 5th) and a 3.73 ring and pinion. Always hated 1st and 5th.

Just ordered a new TKO-600 from Liberty's Gears (2.87 1st and 0.82 5th) with the following...

Upgraded – Synchronized
> Bronze Shift Fork Pads
> Surface Enhancement Processed Hubs & Sliders
> Internal Shift Linkage Upgrade
> Carbon Fiber Blocking Rings—2nd, 3rd & 4th Gear]

Other Tremec Upgrades...
> Threaded Front Cluster Bearing Support
> Cryogenic Processing (increased wear & fracture resistance)
> Thermal Stabilization (added resistance to surface fractures)
> Surface Enhancement Processing (finishing process)
> Shot Peen

Also, waiting to be installed...

> Eaton Detroit TrueTrac
> IRS Axle Girdle

Monday will call McLeod about a 2-disc clutch setup. It's going to be a busy winter.
