There may be some things that rule:

1. Pistons - dish to domed
2. Deck height - stock to milled, how much and all that goes with that.
3. Heads - stock to bonzi CNC.
4. Block - stock every day mill to "something special"

Why not do the "silly putty" trick? Do a rough put-together and put silly putty on the piston. Cut it with a knife and see what you have. Then give yourself 15 percent ( 10 if you are risky ).

Then again, you could get a dial indicator...measure.

There may be other recommendations...think those over.
