I would certainly check the casting numbers on the block if I could not measure the bore and stroke of the motor. Without the screw in plugs, it's difficult to tell FE motors apart unless you are really up on the differences. People say lots of things. Not trying to imply that anyone is being untruthful, but it's better safe than sorry. Maybe that's just me cynical nature showing through..
