Yes, Weber's can be very touchy regarding the lobe separation angle (LSA). I was thinking about changing my engine over from the carb to Webers, but then did a little research and found out that it would not work without a lot of changes. I have an LSA of 106 which makes for a nasty sounding lope to the engine and works nice with the setup that I have. Weber's do not like to run on an LSA of 106; they prefer an LSA of 110-114 from what I have seen. If your LSA is outside of that range there is a good chance that it will be difficult to get them to run right.
