I believe this is what I discussed just above your post, the snaps, the lift-a-dot snaps, that are original,,, to original cars,,, to attach the carpet, to the fiberglass floor, so you can remove them for easy cleaning, or to remove them to prevent excessive wear/ abuse if your racing your car, etc. etc.
