Yes, since I have to disconnect the secondaries of the throttle body to keep from blowing the tires off. I am sure the car would be faster with a built 302 but then there would be nothing to talk about. The FE has a good basic bottom end, it is just the heads that need work. It has been a challenge trying to get the most out of it and keep reliability. More of a science project than a race engine build. My dream: Kirkham billet cylinder heads based on LS architecture with a cross ram style fabricated intake. Injectors would be mounted F1 style so that fuel evaporative cooling of charge would be possible.
