We have not had the issue of the letters turning brown. On my personal Cobra I don't clean the wheels and tires.
When you guys are applying the letters are you shaving the tires first?
We start by shaving the tires, which removes all the writing on the tires, then we clean all the tires with wax and grease remover and finally we apply the lettering.
