Interested in what you do and how it works. I find that the polished part of my car is easier to keep looking good than the brushed stripes (really hard to get water spots etc out of the brushed parts). But either way they look great.

I have given some thought to painting my car at some point (a dark shade of blue) and leaving the brushed stripes as they are, with a clear coat over the whole thing. Not sure the clear would adhere to the brushed finish.
