Default Rocklin CA car show

Last year I was at a car show in Rocklin CA (Hot Chili and Cool Cars). 2 really nice guys from Nor Cal Cobras stopped to look at my car. They commented that the headers on my Roush 351 W were from a 302. When I got home I looked on the internet at the part number on the backing plate and sure enough the part indicated that the headers were in fact for a 302.
Knowing that I immediately ordered a set of ceramic headers for a 351W. Since the car was going to be put away for the winter, installation was held off for this spring. We got the car on a lift and removed the passenger side header and much my surprise the header ports were rectangular just like the new ones. All that I can guess is that the headers were modified in the past. So a pocket full of dollar bills and skinned knuckles I replaced the headers that did not need to be replaced.
