I've done thousands of miles in a 3A with hydraulic dampers (not lever arm, as per original) and wouldn't describe it as having a large amount of flex. A TR6 should be much better, I'm assuming.
However, putting a 'glass body onto a chassis with some flex is a bad idea.
That said, no, it does not sound like any replica build that I've ever heard of, particularly the Jag rear end.
