I think you're way off base on this Bob...

A lot of Cobras sit a long time between starts. Mine sits 6 months+. Any amount of oil that was clinging to the rotating assembly, bearings included, have long since disappeared. I just hate to dry-start a $20K plus engine. 30psi on a cold start is always a good thing...
