No, it's not an "issue....on the AP rear end".

BJ's is the first occurence that I've heard of, and I know that he fixed it by fitting stronger circlips to the inner stub axles.

The AP manual states "if you can just push the stub axle in by hand, then there is not enough tension in the circlip. You can gently expand the circlip to provide the required tension."
Then there's a description of the procedure to ensure that the circlip is seated correctly.
