The last 3 or 4 clutch change-outs I've done has been without a "professional" clutch alignment tool. I simply use a 6" or 12" 3/8" socket extension tool and a roll of electrician's tape. I wrap the bitter end of the extension with tape so it fits snugly in the end of the crank and then measure where the splined portion of the clutch disc will be riding on the extension. I then wrap that part of the extension with tape so it fits snugly in the clutch disc. This procedure has never failed me on the first attempt!
