Well, the driveway content in my formative years contained nothing even remotely exotic.
I grew up on a market garden, so the usual vehicles to be seen in our ‘driveway’ were a Holden station wagon, trucks, and tractors.
In fact, the first vehicle I owned (at age ~12) with four wheels and an engine was a '30s vintage Howard tractor (previously my grandfather's).
That was around the time that my brother and I received a Scalextric slot car set for Christmas; he was older so he got the red Cobra and mine was the green 289FIA (hence my avatar; it's always on my desk)
Probably the most exotic vehicle ever seen at the market garden was my '76 Alfetta, which I’ve now had for 36 years.
Yes, the Cobra is hard to beat.
