Reminds me of one of the many things that Wade Chamberlain pioneered: he put a 1" hole in each footwell under the carpet and used a rubber plug to seal it.
That would have saved me many rolls of paper towels.
I did notice that Speedhut, if you request it, would put some sealer on the inside of the glass around the periphery that may make it water-resistant enough to be practical. They are still careful to say that it's not waterproof.
Maybe I should try that!

The solution Mr. Chamberlain pioneered reminded me, while I may not have clarified it in my spec comment for the weep hole, it was considered 'typical' (common per like system), so also one in each side floor board!!
