I installed one this fall and it did make a difference - just feels smoother on acceleration, particularly early on at lower RPMs - worth the $40. In my case, it helped another issue that I hadn't addressed yet. I had the car dyno tuned and the carb was re-jetted. That led to picking up a slight stumble off idle - very minor, but something that needs to be addressed. The PowerBlast Plate took the majority of the stumble away and the last few times I drove it before winter set in I only noticed it a couple times - and much less so - barely perceptible, so much improved. I'll still address what's left of the stumble in the Spring, but this simple little plate does work as advertised and is simple to install. The only install question I had was questioning the need to remove the carb, particularly since the cobra is small enough to lean over and get a line of sight directly over it. I followed the instructions anyway and realized how difficult it would have been to align the plate perfectly with the carb on the car. Plus, if you dropped the screw or nozzle... So, if you install one, do it on the bench - very easy that way.
