Not sure of the car's exact detail because my computer is blocking photos on the forum for some reason - but you have to be careful on weatherstripping around the engine compartment hood. Sometimes that clearance for weatherstripping is very tight and if the rubber is too thick it can hold the hood up. Best to first measure the thickness with some dabs of clay to see what thickness will work. I used a thin, flat weatherstripping approx. 5/32" x 1/2" on my ERA which is actually close to what the originals used. But as noted above, many prefer to install a few small sections of weatherstripping to protect the paint and position the hood and leave the rest open to help vent hot air out of the engine compartment.
