It’s been a long time since I saw that color on the inside of the tail pipe of any car I’ve owned. All my cars used to have a light gray color on the inside of the tail pipe back in the late 70’s and into the 80’s. Now they are all soot black on the inside of the pipe, including my new cars. Never understood why.
