Do not discount the amount of oil that a PVC valve can suck. You might think it is a couple drops but it can pull pretty good volumes over a 150 mile run depending on the driving habits. Put in a simple oil separater on the PVC line and collect the oil and measure it. Why not spend $30 and eliminate that possibility before you start tearing things apart.
