I'm looking at all options. I hadn't thought of the Morris scoop as a under hood air extraction. I thought of it as cowl induction if a carb tray were used to seal with foam sponge to under hood separating radiator and under car air from the carb intake. Rear intake wouldn't have rain water being taken in and falling on to the distributor. I have been caught out in driving rain. My small traditional hood doesn't open to about half way over the first chromed S&H air cleaner top. For my car a larger air cleaner would have to come up through the normal hood line and would be right at the edge of the distributor. That is why I'm interested in a non traditional hood scoop or all together different hood .
