With all they did to portray cars as accurate and period correct, they really cut corners on the J car, which was nothing more than a GT40 with a few glued on pieces to make it look marginally different. I doubt even non-car folks were fooled by that. Oh well.

I was a little bummed by that too, given the great pains they went to replicate other cars throughout. Perhaps the budget was blown by then. Shame as the Cobra Experience has the perfect car for the scene:
