FWIW I always keep the same springs on each side I believe it keep one spring from pulling uneven on the shaft. I never thought that that slight roundness in the curve with uneven springs really mattered. I also use a custom bushing. 10* works for my combination. I use the vacuum advance also. I don't use the light springs as the advance coming in too soon interferes with my idle. My car idles at 1200. I have my reasons for that.
